"Really a great place where we could feel like home. The rooms are very nice, spacious and comfortable. The hosts really care about the details and that’s something you can see everywhere. Parking is easy and there is a restaurant, a takeaway and a supermarket directly on the other side of the street. The lodge has a huge BBQ space with two nice grills."

It's a lovely spot with everything you need: pool, BBQs, tennis court, bikes you can use, hm laundry facilities, games and DVDs you can borrow. The lodges themselves are very nice, quiet. The owners are really lovely and friendly. Because we were there on our honeymoon, they gave us a little bottle of fizz to mark the occasion. Really nice and highly recommended!"

Great big comfy king size bed, well appointed kitchennette, big bathroom with heaps of hot water, and a little lounge with tv, 2 seater couch and single chair. There was a small round table and 2 chairs to eat and a table and 2 chairs on the outside deck. The swimming pool was a short walk away and there were also barbeque facilities which we didn't use. We will definitely stay here again. The shops were a short walk across the road."

- Adrian"My family had a wonderful stay at the Pines Motor Lodge. we had two units with a connecting door which was perfect layout for our young family - kids in bed in main unit then adults had own room with tv, fridge and en suite. Rooms v clean and not too small. Lots of towels and good showers. Own little deck to sit outside. Pool area is fabulous, but pool hot heated so too cold for me in Nov! But the kids loved splashing in the shallow end and I loved the surrounding gorgeous heady jasmine! Carol and Simon so helpful and accommodating with lots of games, dvds and toys to borrow on rainy days. Great communal BBQ area and big grassy lawn to play. Location is good, only 2 min stroll to main shops, cafe, takeaway, restaurant and supermarket. Beach short drive away. Will 100% stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!"
- Laura Rose"Come on everyone The outdoor spa area is lovely and clean and a treat on a cold clear afternoon/evening. The shops are open restaurants serving good food. The walking tracks are all in great repair. The beach is always beautiful. Carole will make your stay comfy at this motel always a fav of ours. Use the bbq game of tennis golf course right on your doorstep and a 2-minute walk to shops cafe restaurant super value.Easy parking well located warm and clean well equipped. The road from Waihi is open and mostly clear of all slips now ...so safe and easy to come here for a little winter escape. Thanks again guys for a great stay again!"
